Murphy

Murphy is a shy, sweet 4 year old Whippet/Labrador Retriever/Border Collie mix whose owner was in need of a pet sitter while they were away for a weekend travel baseball tournament. And conveniently, they live in the community right next door to mine. Murphy was cautious but friendly with me on the first visit. Giving him a few treats helped my cause, and after that he was much more relaxed with me. By the second visit he happily greeted me at the door, went on a brief walk, and wanted to play with his stuffed turtle when we came back from the walk. I had 2 more visits with him the next day, and he was very affectionate and playful. I hope to care for him again in the future.
