This hot mess of a kitty was part of a feral colony in Ft Lauderdale.  The colony caregiver noticed that Glory appeared to be having issues with her tail and rear legs.  It took awhile, but finally Glory was trapped then transported on Easter Sunday to Quality of Life Rehab & Foster in Ocala for medical care.  She spent several weeks in observation before undergoing any surgery, in the event she was pregnant.  It was determined she was not with kitten, so the surgery to fix her tail and legs was scheduled.   Glory had a lot of medical issues going on - tail amputation, bloodwork, ultrasound, mammary mass and skin issues. 

While under anesthesia, Glory's vet discovered that she had aggressively progressing mammary cancer, and the decision was made to let her go to the Rainbow Bridge.



I was given the honor of naming this colony cat, so I chose Glory, in honor of the Easter holiday on which she was transported.  I only wish she would have had a better outcome, but I take comfort in knowing she didn't die a prolonged, painful death on the streets of Ft Lauderdale.  RIP Glory <3
