This is Rocky. And whoever let him get to this condition should rot in hell. He has a non-contagious form of mange, is underweight, and heartworm positive. But he's alive. The dog that came in with him from animal control wasn't as fortunate. There is NO excuse for this.
Despite how unkind life has been to him so far, he was nothing but sweet, loving, and playful. He sought out attention from me, enjoyed the treats I gave him, and had fun playing with the tennis ball. He wants nothing more than to love someone, and be loved back.
He has a road to recovery in front of him, but he deserves someone willing to travel that road with him. At the end of that road will be an amazingly loyal pet and companion, so stop by the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast and ask to meet Rocky!
