Meet Marcelline, a beautiful 2-year-old girl with two very different sides to her personality.
In her kennel, she can seem bouncy and excited, eager for someone to notice her and give her a chance. Shelter life can be overwhelming, and sometimes dogs express that energy the only way they know how.
But step outside the kennel with Marcelline, and you’ll meet the real her. Away from the noise and stress, she becomes shy, calm, and gentle—a sweet soul who just needs a little time to feel comfortable. As we sat on a bench overlooking the pond at the shelter, she gently leaned all of her 45 lbs into my legs, just wanting some reassurance and connection.
Marcelline would thrive with someone who understands that kennel behavior doesn’t tell the whole story. Beneath that excited exterior is a sweet natured young dog looking for safety, patience, and love.
